BNR 188 - Deo Favente

single screw dry bulk / container ship for inland navigation

Shipyard Kooiman Hoebee in Dordrecht was commissioned by V.O.F. Scheepvaartbedrijf C. Mourik to deliver the newbuild hopper barge Deo Favente. The Deo Favente measures 86 x 11.45 metres and has a loading capacity of 2,316 tonnes. It is a multifunctional design from Kooiman Engineering. With its wide hold, reinforced hatch coaming and hatch cover, the vessel is suitable for a wide variety of bulk cargo, heavy cargo and containers loaded four-high.

 

The inner bottom and lowest parts of the longitudinal bulkheads are made from the strong, hardwearing and weight-saving Hardox steel. The hatch coaming is made from weight-saving high-tensile steel.

The vessel has a generously sized, permanently fitted aft and fore accommodations. The retractable wheel house is integrated in the aft accommodation. The hull was built on order of Shipyard Kooiman Hoebee by the Serbian Bomex4M shipyard. The fitting out and finishing took place at Shipyard Kooiman Hoebee.

Bow thruster 1x Veth-Jet 4K1200 (4-channel type), driven by Caterpillar C18, 478 bhp at 1800 r.p.m.

 

Auxiliary engines:

Generator sets 2x Caterpillar C 4.4 – 47 kVa (in silence cabinet) 220/380 V 50 Hz

 

Auxiliary systems:

Spuds on fore- and aft ship, hydraulic driven

Cargo hold length suitable for 9 TEU (total capacity 144 TEU at 4 layers)

Transverse framed mid ship with reinforced double bottom, suitable for heavy cargo

Tank top made of ‘Hardox’ steel with container reinforcement

Fixed deckhouse on fore- and aft ship

Carco hold hatches type ‘Friese kap’ with hydraulic driven hatch car
