The Dutch Pearl was built at Shipyard Gebr. Kooiman in Zwijndrecht. Following completion, the tugboat was handed over to Mr R. Hubregtse, owner of Dutch Pearl BV. The connection between Mr Hubregtse and Kooiman Marine Group dates back to 2003, when construction of the Dutch Pride started at our shipyard, followed by the Dutch Power, Isa, Dutch Power 2 and in 2010, the Dutch Pearl.
The Dutch Pearl is a 31-metre long double propelled chine strake hull multipurpose tugboat with stern roll and push bow. The vessel has a bollard pull of 46.2 tonnes and can carry out its work well in shallow as well as deep water. The vessel was built under the inspection of Lloyd’s Register of Shipping and classified as: 100 A1 TUG-LMC-UMS.
The Dutch Pearl mainly provides assistance activities, such as helping the crane ship ‘Svanen’ which is being used for the installation of a wind farm in the Baltic Sea. The assistance activities consist of pushing and tug work, passenger transport, surveying, provisioning and mediation of transport. The vessel is available for long and short periods, for inland waterway and coastal projects worldwide.
